It was 1886, in a crude meeting house on the Tennessee-North Carolina border, where the Church of God traces its roots. There, a group of eight sincere Christians had a deep desire for a closer relationship and life with Christ.
The Church of God believes the whole Bible to be completely and equally inspired and that it is the written Word of God. The Church of God has adopted the following Declaration of Faith as its standard and official expression of its doctrine.
The Church of God’s Practical Commitments offer scriptural guidelines for practical Christian living. Spiritual Example, Moral Purity, Personal Integrity, Family Responsibility, Behavioral Temperance, Modest Appearance and Social Obligation.
The following Doctrinal Commitments represent the core beliefs of the denomination as outlined in Scripture. Repentance, Justification. Romans, Regeneration, New birth, Sanctification subsequent to justification. etc
The ministries of Church of God Sharjah are driven by a desire to give everyone solid biblical direction for life. We believe it is the Word of God that brings the clarity and direction we need when we find ourselves at difficult crossroads. Our Sunday School Ministry, Youth Sessions, Ladies Meeting, and Special Meetings are geared with this purpose in mind.
